Sharing a video from their lovely wedding ceremony which talked about their love journey, he wrote;

He wrote:

3 years ago, Susu and I made the decision to love each other forever. But the only reason forever is even possible, is because we made the decision to make God our foundation. And while a foundation is the part of the house that people don’t see, it’s by far the most important.

Because you can fix cracks in the walls, refurbish the rooms and repaint the halls, but you can’t get the foundation wrong if you want any chance of the house standing at all. The structural integrity of a house requires a foundation that is built to last.

I recently heard a Pastor say that love can’t keep a marriage going… he said it takes God and commitment. I think maybe he had a bit of a misunderstanding of what love really means. Because… well, God IS love. And love is commitment. Without both, it certainly isn’t love and it definitely won’t work. People sometimes think Susu led me to God. But it’s not true. God led me to Susu. And He has kept us through it all.

Marrying @adesuaetomi is the 2nd best decision I made in my adult life. The best was re-dedicating my life to Christ.

Susu, I am thankful for you, and grateful to you. You are everything I want and much more than I deserve. You mean the world to me and I intend to spend the rest of my life proving it. I love you now more than ever.
3 years down, I’m looking forward to forever.

I love you. Happy Anniversary Shuga.

His beautiful wife, Adesua posted the same video and also wrote long note describing her husband as the light of her life second to Jesus.

She wrote:

Three years? Seems like yesterday. Seems like forever.
Three years with my bestie.
Everyone knows you’re my husband but today I want to thank you for being my best friend.
The most attentive, loving, funny, caring, inspiring friend I have ever had.
I thought I knew how to love but omo, you have schooled me.
I never knew it was possible to be with someone this long and not have it be riddled with tons of fights. I’m glad for our low voiced intense conversations. Lol
You don’t make me feel crazy, I don’t have to yell before I’m heard. I don’t have to worry. I don’t second guess how you feel about me. I know I’m valued, as I should be.
Thank you bubz, for just being a correct human being. For the heart that you have. For being quick to be sorry when you’re wrong (whispers…even when you’re not. Lol) (I do the same sha)
For not putting your ego before us. For giving me a home that’s my safe haven. I’m grateful for the home we have built. I always look forward to coming home and it takes a lot to even get me out of the house. Lol.
God has done the most marvellous things these past 3 years. May he continue to be the 3rd cord in this threefold cord. As long as he lives and he shields and we keep him part of our lives, we will never be easily broken.
Apart from Jesus, you are def the light of my life.
May that light continue to shine brighter and brighter.
You, my darling are a force to be reckoned with and the world will remember your name.
@bankywellington I love you doesn’t seem to suffice anymore but I’ll say it anyway. I love you with every fibre of my being. Let’s do this till we’re old and grey and maybe in heaven too?

Rep Member Dangaladima Appears In Court Over Maina’s Son ‘Disappearance’

Published

Sani Umar Dangaladima, a member of the House of Representatives representing the Kaura-Namoda Federal Constituency of Zamfara State, has appeared in court.

The lawmaker on Wednesday, appeared before the Federal High Court in Abuja having been summoned on Tuesday over the disappearance of Faisal Maina, who is said to have jumped bail.

The legislator had stood surety for Faisal, who is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on money laundering charges.

Faisal is a son of a former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reformed Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, who is also facing separate charges of money laundering involving about N2bn before the same court.

Maina is also said to have jumped bail.

The judge, Justice Okon Abang, who is presiding over the two cases, had revoked the bail granted the father and the son, ordered their arrest, and directed that their trials would proceed in absentia.

On Monday, Justice Abang sent Maina’s surety, Senator Ali Ndume, to jail over his inability to produce the fleeing defendant.

On Tuesday, the judge ordered Faisal’s surety, Dangaladima, to appear in court on Wednesday to show cause why he should not be made to forfeit the N60m bail bond he signed for the defendant.

In honour of the summons, Dangaladima appeared before the court on Wednesday.

He appeared with his lawyer, Mr M.E Sheriff.

But Faisal who has been declared by the judge to be on the run was absent from Wednesday’s proceedings.

The judge said he would hear Dangaladima and his lawyer after taking the testimony of the third prosecution witness.

Buhari’s stand on accountability, transparency encouraging – CCB boss

Published

on

Simon Utebor, Yenagoa

The Chairman, Code of Conduct Bureau, Prof. Isah Mohammed, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s policy thrust on probity, accountability and transparency as a way of doing government business is very encouraging.

Mohammed made this known on Wednesday in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital, during a two-day workshop on ‘Strict Compliance with Assets Declaration and Code of Conduct for Public Officials’, organised by Go-Getters Consulting Limited.

Represented by a representative of South-south Zone in the CCB, Dr Emmanuel Attah, the CCB boss said their mandate had become pragmatic and momentous following the political will of the leadership of President Buhari to make the fight against corruption as one of the cardinal agenda of his administration.

He stated: “The President’s policy thrust on probity, accountability and transparency as a way of doing government business is not only encouraging but gives the necessary impetus and enthusiasm to each and every one of us to position ourselves, as appropriate in this campaign.

“This, we may only achieve as public officers by conforming to the principles of public office which include selflessness in favour of public interest, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership by example.”

Mohammed believed that if top public functionaries of government were well aware and abide by the codes of conduct, the need for the application of punitive measures would be eliminated and thereby reduce the resources expended on the prosecution of cases.

He said the CCB had the onerous mandate to establish and maintain a high standard of morality in the conduct of government business and to ensure that the actions and behaviour of public officers conform to the highest standards of public morality and accountability.

In his opening remarks, the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, urged the CCB to avoid the temptations of being used as an instrument for political witch-hunt of Nigerians.

He said: “As Nigerians, we are all aware of the development not too long ago where someone in the Southsouth, in the person of a former Chief Justice of the Federation was bought down from his lofty heights on account of a supposed non-compliance with the provisions of the Code of Conduct. It was learnt from some quarters that the former CJN was not given fair treatment by the Code of Conduct Tribunal in that matter.

“So, we must at all times, eschew, avoid and live above board by not giving in to temptations and allow politicians use the instrumentality of offices created for the good of Nigerians to witch-hunt fellow Nigerians.”

Speaking about the training, the deputy governor, represented by the Deputy Chief Staff in his office, Mr. Alex Dumbo, said the training of the participants from the Local Government Service Commission was appropriate and apt.

He noted: “This event, as it were, in my mind is quite appropriate and very apt. Appropriate and apt because an informed mind is a weapon against mistakes. As you all know, the Code of Conduct, as established in our Constitution under the fifth schedule part one expects every public servant to enact certain behavioural conduct which should at all points, holds your personal interest below the interest of the public service.

“Under the Code of Conduct, we are expected to pay the emoluments and salaries only on a single source in the public service. We all know that a couple of times, we find that some persons, either because we are ignorant, earn emoluments from more than one source in the public service. In doing so, we are latently causing crimes to ourselves.”

Buhari Has Failed – Northerner Laments As Bandits Spend 5 Hours Killing, Maiming And Raping People In Villages

Published

on

A northerner, Mubarak Ibrahim Lawan has taken to Facebook to lament how bandits are killing innocent villagers without any intervention from the police.

While lamenting President Muhammadu Buhari’s failure to secure lives and properties of citizens, he added that Buhari has refused to listen to the people.

He wrote:

“Yesterday, bandits spent about 5 hours killing, maiming, raping, stealing and vandalising in a village at Maradun LG, Zamfara, without any interference from whatever force. Moreover, this is not the first, second or third! Remember Wurma in Buhari’s Katsina and other villages under Jibia LG of the same Katsina!
If truly Buhari is alive and mentally sound; if truly our senators, members of House of Reps and governors have iota of sense left in them; if all emirs and all of us here who can talk to hundreds or thousands of people are not mentally deranged, this issue should be practically, not theoretically as Buhari does, addressed. We should all stop every talk here but insecurity or risk being stopped breathing at all!

I wonder how a DPO sleep well when at a village under the supervision of his division burns. Same goes to the Dagaci, Me unguwa and the Emir of the region. What lie does the governor have for the people when he can not deal with the DPO or ask for more security personnel to protect the lives of those who voted him to protect their lives and properties?

As Governor Zulum sleeps less or only when it is necessary; goes round and supervising his people, listening to their cries and addressing their problems; stops his convoy to listen to his people by the roadside, wallahi no leader in Nigeria has an excuse here or in the day of judgment. May Allah protect professor Zulum!
Arewa is burning seriously and so Buhari should be decisive to #SecureNorth now. He should deal with the security chiefs and the governors now. He should listen to experts about his Draconian border closure policy, study why this banditry worsens in border-neighbourhoods and how much profit the closure so far brought to the Country!
