The National Democratic Congress has promised to absorb all fees for SHS students who will be going to tertiary institutions in the 2020/2021 academic year.

As part of it’s campaign promise to get the votes of the electorates, the opposition NDC has come up with a new strategy that when vote into power will implement.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that when voted into power, the John Mahama-led government will absorb the full school fees of Ghanaian students who be admitted to tertiary institutions in the 2020/2021 academic year.

According to a statement signed by Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the National Chairman of the NDC, the decision is in line with the recommendation of the Education Policy Group of the party and it will be incorporated in the People’s Manifesto.

The NDC also indicated that the new policy is termed “Fa Ninyinaa”.

“This policy is an enhancement of our commitment in the People’s Manifesto to absorb 50% of the school fees of all tertiary students for the 2020/2021 academic year through the ‘KYEMUPE’ policy, which will now apply to only continuing students in tertiary institutions in the country,” the NDC explained.

The NDC added that the Flagbearer of the Party, John Dramani Mahama will in “due course”, throw more light on the enhanced package for Ghanaian students who will be admitted to tertiary institutions next year.

“Not All Voters Are Stupid” Manasseh Blast NDC Over Akufo-Addo Video Bribery Scandal

In a write up, Manasseh Awuni shared Facebook he wrote

“His rights were violated by whoever filmed him without his consent. He was not engaged in any criminal or illegal act so you cannot justify this in any court of law.

The video being shared shows that someone contributed money and T-shirts to support his campaign, but you’re telling us that he took a bribe as a president.

(If you want to raise issues with political party funding, we can discuss that. And it’s not limited to only one party).

But this is a new low. You know deep in your heart that you’re lying, so who do you think should believe your lies?

We must hold our leaders accountable when they go wrong, but it is also our duty to protect them when they become victims of malicious propaganda. If you gloat today because it happened to your political opponent, it will one day happen to you.

What you’re doing is counterproductive to the political cause you seek to promote. It will turn decent minds and sympathetic hearts away from the party. The biggest mistake a political party can make is to assume that ALL the voters are stupid.

Anybody can do anything to achieve a political goal, but I believe we are all answerable to a supernatural being. And we will all pay or be paid for what we do here on earth before we exit this unpredictable stage called life.

Mind your ways, for you may never have the chance to say sorry.”
