Manchester United are now open to midfielder, Nemanja Matic, reuniting with Jose Mourinho at AS Roma.
According to Sport Witness, Man United are happy to go ahead with Mourinho’s priority of bringing Matic to Roma and will sell the Serbian international for less than €10million.
Matic is one of the key names that Mourinho has given the Roma board as he starts to draw up transfer plans ahead of next season.
The 32-year-old has played twice under Mourinho at Chelsea and Manchester United in the past.
Matic is trusted by Mourinho and is said to be more suited to Serie A, where his tactical awareness and composure on the ball will be more appreciated.
Matic’s current contract at Manchester United expires in 2023.
Speaking on a possible reunion with Mourinho, Matic told Omnisport in 2020: “As I know, you never know what’s going to happen in life.
“At the moment, I am a Manchester United player and very focused on my job, and in the future, we will see what’s going to happen.”
