A medical doctor identified as Mrs Arikeade Oni-Salawu has been kidnapped by suspected gunmen in Oyo State.

According to reports, Mrs Oni-Salawu who happens to be the wife of the youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo, Areokuta Salawu was whisked away at the entrance gate of her house in Aromolaran area of Ibadan at about 10 pm. The incident was said to have happened on Sunday, May 23.

The medical doctor, who was returning from the clinic, was said to have alighted from her workplace ambulance to open the gate when armed men unexpectedly appeared and abducted her right in front of her husband, who was driving behind her.

Ghgossip gathered that the gunmen took the phones of the APC youth leader thus leaving the phone of their victim behind.

The aide of Areokuta Salawu told Nigerian Tribune about the incident, he said;

“The APC youth leader called me at about 4.30 am to tell me that his wife was kidnapped at about 10pm yesterday. In fact, he is still in shock at the incident. His wife, a medical doctor, was returning from the clinic and was driving the ambulance while her husband drove his own car. The wife had the gate key and alighted to open the gate. Suddenly, gunmen emerged from nowhere and kidnapped her. They only left the wife’s phone and took away the husband’s phones.” the associate narrated. 

Meanwhile, a kidnapper who infiltrated school in Abuja under the guise of picking up his child before it closed has been arrested.

In viral footage, the man is seen being interrogated while screaming at the top of his voice, trying to take his wards away over what he calls disregard.

Staff from the elementary school gathered around him, and one of them insisted that he list the name and class of his ward.He correctly identified one Chisom and her sister and was able to accompany them out, but his luck ran out as they were escorted out and ran into Chisom’s biological father.

The school officials arrested the alleged kidnapper after the befuddled father raised an alarm. He received a very hot slap from the security man who handcuffed him and took him to the police station. WATCH VIDEO
