Nigerian Actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie hails from Okene in Kogi State. Born in Lagos to a former naval officer, Mr. Daniel Johnson and Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson.

The road to Mercy Johnson’s acting career has been a smooth ride from the start as the actress is regarded as very talented.

She auditioned for a role in The Maid and subsequently acted in other movies such as Hustlers, Baby Oku in America, War in the Palace.

In 2009, she won an award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2009 African Movie Award ceremony for her performance in the movie “Live to Remember”, and Best Actress award at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for her role in the comedy movie Dumebi the Dirty Girl.

In December 2011, she was listed as Google’s most searched Nigerian celebrity; a position she also held in 2012.

Hence, it is not surprising that former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has urged protestors to have some form of identification.

Reno took to Twitter to urge #EndSARS protestors to use a uniform or scarf etc to try to identify each other. He believes this will foil any effort from opposers of the movement to create havoc.

Female Nigerian artist, Simi has said the people of Nigeria are not even aware they are living in a hell on earth.

According to her, we have got to a point that the suffering has been so normalized and institutionalized and no one even realizes he is suffering any longer. She said you have to pay your way through before you can get anything done in Nigeria.

“Nigerians are so used to suffering now that they think it’s normal. If you don’t have money to “give someone” to get what you actually deserve, there’s almost no chance for progress. Bribe is not even bribe, it’s just survival.” she said.
