Declan Rice speaks out on future ambitions

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has admitted he is in a hurry for trophies, amid interest from Chelsea.

Rice, 21, who is a big fan of Frank Lampard, has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in summer transfer window but the deal failed due to materialism.

The England international still remains Blues primary target and there is possibility of an official move in January according to latest reports by Sky Sport.

Rice, who started his career on the books of Chelsea before being released and joining West Ham United, has revealed he is keen to win trophies in the future.

‘As a footballer you only get one career and it goes by very quick,’ Rice told Sky Sports.

‘You want to be successful for club and country. I think it’s an important thing to win trophies. There’s talk of Harry Kane at Spurs and what he should be doing, obviously he can do whatever he wants.

‘He’s going to win trophies we all know that. I think that’s something I want to aim for as well. I’m only 21 but to get those highs of your career you need to win stuff and that’s what I want to do.’

Kepa Arrizabalaga exit

Chelsea chief have reportedly green-lighted the departure of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in the January transfer window.

After underwhelming performances in 2019/20 campaign, Kepa has been ousted as No 1 at Stamford Bridge by summer signing Edouard Mendy.

He only made one appearance since September and according to Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 26-year-old stopper, who was signed for a world-record £72million, moved on in January, on loan or permanently.

It adds that the Blues chief are happy for him to leave despite him being No 2 to Mendy at current.

Chelsea open discussions to extend Silva’s stay at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea are reportedly open discussions with Thiago Silva’s agent about extending his client stay at Stamford Bridge beyond this season.

The 36-year-old veteran defender has been a big bonus for Frank Lampard after signing on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

Silva has been produced an impressive performances since arrived in London and It is now being claimed the two parties have engaged in discussions to extend Silva’s stay at Stamford Bridge.

Tutto Mercato, is reporting that the early stages of talks have been initiated between the player’s representatives and Chelsea with Silva open to the idea of staying longer.

Chelsea planning young defensive recruit

Chelsea are intending to sign a talented young centre-back, according to reports.

The defence has been an area of concern for Frank Lampard as he looks to mount a title challenge.

And now transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has told the Here We Go Podcast that the Blues are targeting a younger defender but one with experience.

The only name mentioned during the discussion for Jose Gimenez from Atletico Madrid.
