DJ Cuppy has encouraged fellow women to rise above gender roles as she becomes first female to ever win the AFRIMMA Best African DJ award.

Recall the Africa Muzik Magazine Awards, AFRIMMA held her 14th annual award edition over the weekend with DJ Cuppy, Burna Boy, Rema, Simi, Mercy Chinwo, Flavour and other Nigerian entertainers winning big at the virtual award event.

Following her emergence as the first female to ever with the prestigious AFRIMMA Best African DJ award, DJ Cuppy born Ifeoluwa Florence Otedola has seized the opportunity to advise and encourage fellow women to always pursue their dreams even if they’re being told “women can’t do” what they choose to do.

DJ Cuppy beat prominent DJs such as DJ Neptune, DJ ECool, DJ Spinall and other disc jockeys to clinch the prestigious award.

Speaking further in the short video clip shared on her verified Twitter page on Tuesday, November 17, the Gelato crooner dedicated her award to her teeming fans, the Cupcakes.

According to DJ Cuppy, what men can do, we can equally do just same or even better.

She wrote, “Won Best African DJ” 2020 @Afrimma Awards… As the first woman to win this award, I am truly HONOURED and will continue to disrupt my industry; this one is for YOU my Cupcakes!”

Nigerians have dragged former BBNaija housemate, Erica Nlewedim after Davido featured Nengi in his ‘Jowo’ movie.



Internet was on fire when Davido released the thriller of the video and disclosed that he featured Nengi. Apparently, fans didn’t see that coming because Nengi and Davido have not been seen together since the conclusion of the BBNaija show.

A fan reacting to Nengi’s tweets about the video, dragged Erica that “after hanging out with Davido and Kidd, Davido did not still feature her in his video “jowo”.

Some other fans also dragged the ex housemate for not being featured in the movie.

Aneke Identical twins took some beautiful photos with two other twin babies whose names are Adaeze and Adanna.

They were seen in the photos carrying each of the babies, they went on to reveal that having twins is important and a blessing to mankind.

‘The Experience’ to hold its 15th Global Edition and it is Virtual this Year | December 11th

 The Experience has been described as “the world’s largest gospel concert” and is arguably the largest gathering of worshippers on the African continent. The colossal concert, which averaged an attendance in the hundreds of thousands in preceding years, attracts music enthusiasts from all over the globe, gathering to worship God from dusk till dawn. Previous editions held at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, Nigeria, with many more watching online, creating a digital footprint on all 7 continents of the world. 


This year, on Friday, December 11, 2020 beginning at 21:00 hours West African Time (GMT+1), The Experience will hold exclusively online. It will also be debuting as a global edition and will be live-streamed simultaneously around the world on YouTube, Facebook, and other major digital platforms.

Despite restrictions imposed by the pandemic, this award-winning concert will uphold its standard of excellence and showcase amazing musical performances and goodwill messages by internationally recognized artists and icons, uniting under Christ’s banner to amplify the gospel and share His universal message of peace and goodwill to all. 

The Experience – Global Edition will feature some new entrants to its outstanding line-up. From AustraliaHillsong United, Tasha Cobbs and Maverick City from the United States of America, from South AfricaThe Cape town Philharmonic Choir, Sheldon Bangera from India, Matt Redman from the United Kingdom, and Sidney Mohede from Indonesia. There will also be guest appearances by global icons during the night.
