ENDSARS Protestor Anthony Onome Unuode Dies After He Was Stabbed Yesterday

It is a sad news for loved ones of Anthony Onome Unuode, the protester who got stabbed yesterday in Abuja during the protest against SARS.

Reports reaching us indicate that Anthony gave up his ghost today after battling for his life.

He was rushed to the hospital when he got stabbed by some thugs.

Anthony was a key member of the ENDSARS protest but he, unfortunately, met his death.

His friends have taken to social media to mourn his demise.

EndSARS: Son of Martin Luther King Jr Pleads With President Buhari To Grant Nigerians Their Freedom To Protest

Martin Luther King III, the son of American activist Martin Luther King Jr,  has taken to social media to call on the President of Nigeria, Buhari to make certain that the basic rights of the EndSARS protesters in Nigeria is ensured.

Taking to his Twitter platform, the American Human Rights advocate emphasized that “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”, while calling for support for the citizens protesting against police brutality.

He tweeted:

“I appeal to @MBuhari to guarantee the fundamental freedoms of peaceful protesters in Nigeria, including their right to protest. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” -MLK, Jr. We must stand with those protesting to #ENDSARS.”

Going the local way by using her native language, Florence went on her knees to plead with them for forgiveness, and that truly they have been played by politicians.

Nasir El-Rufai Imposes 24-hour Curfew On Kaduna

Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai has imposed a 24-hour curfew on all parts of Kaduna.

A curfew was earlier imposed only on Kaduna South and Chikun LGAs, but this time around it’s all parts of Kaduna.

According to the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan who released the statement, the curfew was imposed to protect the residents.

The extension of the 24-hour curfew to all the 23 local government areas of the state is effective immediately

KDSG will keep the situation under review and regrets the inconvenience it may cause to law-abiding citizens.

The state government wishes to appeal to all residents of the state to kindly bear with the government as it takes necessary action to maintain law and order, and protect the right of citizens to live in peace.
