Premier League giants Arsenal are blessed with a corp of talented young strike at the minute. After years of struggling in the centre forward department the north London side have a glut of attacking options coming through the ranks to supplement the efforts of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the first team.
The latest one off the conveyer belt is teenage forward Folarin Balogun. The 19-year-old scored his first senior goal for Arsenal just seconds after coming on in their 3-0 victory over Molde.
The man of the moment Folarin Balogun may not even be an Arsenal player by the time next season comes around. The 19-year-old’s contract is set to expire in June meaning Arsenal could lose him for absolutely nothing at the end of the season.
Head coach Mikel Arteta has already stated his intention to ensure that doesn’t happen though and claimed that the player wants to stay at Emirates stadium beyond next season.
Folarin originally stated his credentials as a star in the making by firing 25 goals in 19 games as Arsenal won the under-18 Premier League, before going on to score goals consistently again at Premier League 2 level.
If Balogun keeps taking his opportunities like he did against Molde then surely Arsenal will do anything to get him to commit his future to the club.
