Ibadan Woman Cries Out In Court Over Seven-Day Marathon Sex

Published

on

A man and his wife have been ordered to go their separate ways over alleged plans by the man to use the woman for money ritual.

This was heard at a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan, on Tuesday.

The court was also told that the husband attempted to have marathon sex with the wife for seven days.

Without wasting time, the court went ahead to dissolve the10-year-old marriage between one Basirat Adeyoyin and estranged husband, Adeyoyin Niyi over the claims.

Delivering judgment, the President of the court, Chief Ademola Odunade said that the court would not watch until there was anarchy before making the right decision.

Odunade, therefore, dissolved the union between Basirat and Niyi in the interest of peace and tranquility.

He awarded custody of the two children produced by the union to the plaintiff and ordered the respondent to pay N10, 000 as the children’s monthly feeding allowance.

The court also ordered Niyi to be responsible for their education and other welfare.

In her earlier account, Basirat, a resident of Olonsogo-Molete, told the court that she was calling it quits with her husband because “he was making a desperate effort to use her for money ritual’’.

The businesswoman added that she first notice this when her husband did not show any regret after she lost her last pregnancy due to too many sexual activities with him.

“Suddenly in 2018, Niyi came home one night and told me that he received a message that he must have seven-day marathon sex with me without a gap of any day.

“I read no meaning to it and I allowed him until there was a problem.

“I was already carrying a three-month-old pregnancy before that time and on the second day of the marathon sex, I lost the pregnancy.

“I took care of myself in the hospital only for Niyi to come home to start requesting for the continuation of the seven-day marathon sex even when I was still bleeding.

“Then, I consulted my parents and relatives and from every indication, we discovered that he was trying to use me for money ritual,” Basirat said.

Consenting to the suit, the respondent did not deny the allegation of the marathon sex but chose to raise new issues altogether.

Niyi submitted that his wife was too troublesome for him and was a careless housewife.

“Even if this court would dissolve my marriage, I pray to be given custody of the two children because Basirat cannot take care of them.

“One of the young boys in our neighborhood raped our first child and she did not tell me about the incident.

“My lord, it was because she often overstays in the market that such a thing could happen,” Niyi added.

Gombe lawmakers ‘remove’ speaker and deputy speaker from House of Assembly

Published

The speaker of the state legislature, Ibrahim Abubakar and his deputy speaker, Yahaya Kaka has been removed by sixteen members of the Gombe state house of assembly.

According to reports, grounds for the impeachment were not revealed but was as part of political realignment. Abubakar Luggerewo representing Akko central has been sworn in as the 7th speaker of the house.

According to Buba, a member representing Balanga North, the decision to impeach Ibrahim Abubakar is a collective one.

He said, “The former Speaker of the house was removed due to lack of confidence. We lost confidence in his leadership; and as a house, we are at liberty to change leadership. Once you lack confidence in someone then there has been a breach. We felt the best thing was to remove him and replace him with a brand new speaker.”

The majority leader, Samuel Markus, was also discharged through a voice vote announced by Mustapha Usman representing Gombe south.

JustLai MohammedMinister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has expressed that the CNN report on the Lekki Tollgate shooting of October 20 2020 is capable of setting the country on fire.

Recall that CNN had published an investigative report titled, ‘How a bloody night of bullets and brutality quashed a young protest movement in Nigeria,’ claiming soldiers fired live ammunition directly at protesters at the Lekki toll gate.

But Nigeria’s Minister for Information denied the report of the US-based cable television, calling for a sanction on CNN over the report, adding that the report on the Lekki tollgate incident was highly irresponsible.

In a petition dated November 23 and addressed to Mr. Jonathan Hawkins VP, Communications, CNN Centre Atlanta, Georgia U.S, the federal government demanded “an immediate and exhaustive investigation into its report on the Lekki Toll Gate incident to determine its authenticity and conformity to basic standards of journalism.”

Lai Mohammed, who signed the petition, said if the US-based media organisation failed to carry out its demand, the Nigerian government will “take any action within its laws’’ to prevent CNN from aggravating the End SARS crisis.
