Jurgen Klopp reveals the only way Liverpool can beat Chelsea on sunday

Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, revealed that his players must be at their absolute ‘best’ against Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday if they are to leave Stamford Bridge with a good result.

Liverpool picked up all three points away at Chelsea last season after defeating Frank Lampard’s side 2-1, thanks to two goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp said: “Last year we played Chelsea pretty often and pretty early in the season. All the games were really difficult, so that is what I expect, first and foremost.

“Pretty early it is clear we actually have absolutely no idea who Frank [Lampard] will line up, so many different options because we do not know a lot about Chelsea at the moment, during the season that’ll probably change we just have to focus on ourselves. There is enough work to do with that for different reasons.

“All the rest of the week was good so far. So now we have to make sure that we can transform that on the pitch because we better be at our best otherwise it could be tricky.”

The match is scheduled at 4:30 pm.

AC Milan football club have confirmed that goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and Jens Petter Hauge have both tested positive for Covid-19, after the club’s latest round of medical checks.

According to the Italian club, three members of first-team staff also returned positive tests for the virus, which has caused a global pandemic, killing over 1 million people.

“AC Milan can announce that results determined from a series of swab tests conducted yesterday evening have returned from a laboratory with positive indications of Covid-19 for Gianluigi Donnarumma, Jens Petter Hauge and three other staff members,” a statement published Monday October 26 on their official website reads.

“Whilst they are all asymptomatic, they have immediately entered isolation in their homes and the relevant local health authorities have been informed.

“Today, the players and staff were tested again for Covid-19, as is required by protocol, and there have been no other positive test results for the virus.”

AC Milan currently lie top of Italy’s top flight, having won all four of their fixtures to date and having conceded just a single goal in their matches.

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and defender Leo Duarte have also in the past tested positive.

” Shame on you! It’s fake news” – Paul Pogba dismisses reports he’s quit France national team over President Macron’s comments on ‘Islamist terrorism’

Paul Pogba has dismissed reports from the Middle East suggesting that he has quit the France national team after French President Emmanuel Macron’s comments on ‘Islamist terrorism’

The report by Arabic sports website said the Manchester United midfielder, 27, made the decision after President Macron said on Friday, October 23, that ‘monstrosity of Islamist terrorism’ must be dealt with strongly.

The president was speaking in the wake of the beheading of teacher Samuel Paty, 47, who was attacked on his way home from the junior high school where he taught in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, 40km northwest of Paris.

Macron described the murder as an ‘Islamic terrorist attack’ that took the life of the French teacher.

He said: “Unity and firmness are the only answers to the monstrosity of Islamist terrorism.”

The teacher was posthumously awarded the French Legion d’honneur, France’s highest honour, in recognition of the fact that he died for trying to explain the importance of freedom of speech.

Reacting to the report that he’s quit the France national team over Macron’s comments, Pogba dismissed the claims on Instagram, saying the reports are “Unacceptable. Fake news.”

”So The Sun did it again… absolutely 100% unfounded news about me are going around, stating things I have never said or thought. I am appalled, angry, shocked and frustrated some “media” sources use me to make total fake headlines in the sensible subject of French current events and adding the French National Team to the pot.

I am against any and all forms of terror and violence. Unfortunately, some press people don’t act responsibly when writing the news, abusing their press freedom, not verifying if what they write/reproduce is true, creating a gossip chain without caring it affects people’s lives and my life. I am taking legal action against the publishers and spreaders of these 100% Fake News.

In a quick shout out to The Sun, who normally could not care less: some of you guys probably went to school and will remember how your teacher said to always check your sources, don’t write without making sure. But hey, seems you did it again and in a very serious topic this time, shame on you!
