The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has foiled attempt by one Okorie Cyprian Raymond to smuggle 12.05kg of cocaine into the country at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Command, Abuja.

The agency said Okorie, 38, was arrested during the inward clearance of Ethiopian Airline flight 911 from Sao Paulo, Brazil en-route Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

According to a statement by the Principal Staff Officer, Public Affairs, Jonah Achema, on Thursday, the cocaine was carefully packed in drink sachets of pineapple and lemon flavor and concealed in a suitcase.

Achema said Okorie claimed to have no knowledge of what was in the suitcase, which was given to him by one Uche.

“Okorie had already claimed his luggage upon arrival and proceeded to NDLEA screening point where it was detected that one of his bags was stuffed with prohibited drugs suspected to be cocaine.

“He claimed that the drug consignment was given to him to deliver in Nigeria by one Uche whom he met in Church in Brazil about three months ago through a friend.

“Okorie said Uche overheard him talk to his friend about his impending trip to Nigeria. ‘I actually did not have knowledge of what is in the bag. Oga Uche brought the suit case to me at the airport just an hour before flight take-off. This short interval did not give me the opportunity to scrutinize the bag’, Okorie claimed.

“Okorie, aged 38 and a school certificate holder has been a resident of Sao Paulo since 2015 where he worked as a technician in brass installation Center.

According to him: “I had to leave my bicycle spare-parts business in Nigeria for greener pasture in the USA but opted to travel through Brazil, Mexico to America.

“My journey was aborted in Mexico from where I was returned to Brazil where I was granted asylum’,” the statement reads.

NDLEA Commander, Abuja Airport, Kabir Sani Tsakuwa, said: “The 12.05 kilograms of cocaine is one of the highest quantity seized by the Command in recent times.

“We promise all travelers who involve themselves in drug trafficking that they will not escape our drag net. We will continue to sustain our vigilance.”

Fashola: If We Keep Our Promises, APC Will Retain Power In 2023Babatunde Fashola

Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has expressed optimism that Nigerians will still vote the All Progressives Congress (APC) back to power in 2023.

Fashola, however, added that the only thing that can make Nigerians not to vote for the APC is if the party fails to fulfill its campaign promises to them.

The Minister made this remark while speaking with journalists on Monday in Abuja.

He noted that even if the promises are not 100% fulfilled but the citizens see signs of commitment and progress, other parties should forget about displacing APC in 2023.

The former Lagos State Governor added that opposition parties are not doing better than the APC, hence should not expect Nigerians to vote for them come 2023.

He said: “Some governors have joined us, from where we think we could not get voters before. To retain power in 2023, certainly if we keep our promises, people will vote for us. It is that simple, that is politics,” the former Lagos governor said.

“If you do what you say you will do, even if you don’t do hundred percent and they see that you are making progress, they will even want you to finish what you started.”

Artiste Manager and acclaimed Entertainment Pundit, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson aka Bulldog have threatened to take his life should the President pass on before December 7.

In recent times there has been a whole lot of profound prophesies coming from the self-acclaimed prophet that directs to the death of Nana Addo before the most awaited elections.

The freshest of it is Odifour Kwabena Tawiah’s scary prophesy. According to him, if President Akufo-Addo fails to call him by tomorrow, 25th November 2020 then he’ll meet his untimely death.

More to this, the man of God speaking at his church stated Akufo-Addo came to him for spiritual assistance; thus set him free when some people held him, hostage, spiritually.

After he helped the president, he doesn’t answer his calls not to talk of giving him even one cedi as a token of appreciation.

He added that though he’s freed the president from the spiritual captivity, he didn’t cancel the spiritual death, therefore, he is not safe.

Odifo Kwabena Tawiah reaffirmed that if the President fails to call him or answer his calls by the end of Wednesday, he will die before December 7, 2020, election and NDC will win.

Bulldog reacting to this prognosticate on Okay FM, he vehemently condemned the prophesy stating that Nana Akufo-Addo will live to see the NDC win power from him come December 7.

Bulldog boldly declared that he will take his life and join Akufo-Addo in the land of the dead if he passes on before the elections on reasons that he wants to troll him.

“I’m against Akufo-Addo dying. I will be hurt if he dies. I will kill myself and join him there. He has to stay alive and lose the elections so that we all jubilate.

If he dies, I will cut my head and join him there so that if we win I will laugh at him at the cemetery.

He will live to see the victory of the NDC. It is clear that the NDC will win the elections,” Bulldog said on Okay FM.

Media personality, Toke Makinwa has slammed Reno Omokri for his post shading ‘divorced women and slay queens’.

Toke Makinwa slams Reno

yesterday, Reno shared a post on his Twitter handle where he threw jabs at “divorced women”  and “slay queens” by using throwback photos of former first lady, late Mrs Maryam Babangida.

Toke who didn’t find the jab funny, took to her Twitter handle to slam him.

Describing Reno as an ’embarrassment’, the media personality pointed out that being divorced is nothing to shame anyone about.

Read her post below….

Wow, at your age? Your wife and kids must be cringing for you, such an embarrassment. “Divorced” is nothing to shame anyone for, life happens. People like you are the reasons why a lot of people stay in unhealthy situations and lose their dignity and In some cases their lives.

You can celebrate a version of beauty without putting another down, you don’t have to meddle in women’s business too. If you have a daughter I hope she gets the courage to never deal with a man as uncouth as you, stop with the misogyny.

I don’t care about shots intended my way, what I do care about is the group of women you singlehandedly insulted with your “Divorcee” comment, to divorce is not a crime, every divorced person has survived something and sometimes getting a divorce is the only option they have

Enough with the divorce shaming of Anyone, I don’t see a divorced man being shamed for living his life after his failed marriage, people like that clown are probably in unhealthy marriages too. God forbid I marry a man who tweets that kind of garbage, sighhh.

Everyone has a divorced person that they know, it can happen to anyone, that we divorced and alive should be encouraged, people are dying each day living in unhealthy situations and while I’m not advocating for divorce, if leaving is what you need to do, do it in peace.

You cannot survive a bad marriage, survive a mental breakdown and then now have to deal with judgement from people who have not walked a mile in your shoes, it should not be encouraged. Someone’s journey does not have to be your cup of tea, that’s ok but you must respect it.

Dragging my divorced slay queen naked ass back to my holiday and waking up to the most beautiful view. In my bed and outside my room. Love and light xx” Toke tweeted.
