End Special Anti-Robbery Squad or #EndSARS is a social movement in Nigeria that started on Twitter, calling for the banning of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, a unit of the Nigerian Police Force, a controversial division known for police oppression and brutality.

The EndSars Now protest has been met with strong opposition from the security agencies in Nigeria and some thugs who were allegedly hired by Nigerian politicians to disrupt the process.

It has now officially been disclosed that 50 protestors have been confirmed dead. Some names are those who suffered inhuman treatment from the police before the street protests began.

Area Vigilantes Grab Two Hoodlums Attempting Shop Burglary In Benin City Amid Curfew [PHOTO]

While Benin City was under a curfew, a group of thieves who were attempting to break into people’s shops was apprehended.

According to reports,  the gang consisting of four robbers tried burgling into some shops at the Adolar area, opposite UBTH but unfortunately for them, their plans did not come to fruition as area vigilantes spotted them.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, October 20, and so far only two of the thieves have been caught leaving the remaining members of the gang on the run.

The reports about this incident are sketchy due to the numerous rumors surrounding it.

Just after the news hit the internet, she released a statement to debunk the rumors and indicated clearly that she was not at the incident, hence she is safe and healthy.
