The KOKO Weekly Magazine has decided to dedicate its weekly publication to the legendary singer, rapper, songwriter, and comedian Abdul-Ganiu Olanrewaju Fasasi aka Sound Sultan who passed away on Sunday, July 11, 20201, at age 44 due to complications in the unique lymphoma form of cancer he had been battling with.
His death was announced by his family on Sunday 11, and he was buried the same day in New Jersey, America. The multi-talented entertainer is survived by his wife Farida Fasasi and three children, two boys and a girl.

The news of Sound Sultan’s passing came as a rude shock to every lover of good conscious music, fantastic story-telling, and comical character. He is loved by all for his down-to-earth humility, and for his always ready capacity and nurturing of loads of music stars that went through him.
