Two APC lawmakers defect to PDP in Edo state

Two All Progressives Congress lawmakers in Edo state House of Assembly have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.

Speaker of the assembly, Marcus Onobun read defection letters of Yekini Idaiye, representing Akoko-Edo 1 State Constituency and Nosayaba Okunbor, representing Orhionmwon East State Constituency on the floor of the assembly on Monday February 1.

There are now nine PDP lawmakers in the assembly, while the APC has just 1.
