Nigerian musician, Timi Dakolo has reacted to calls for the name of Nigeria to be changed.
The renowned musician reacted to this in a recent post he made on his verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter.
The post he made reads;
“Now that you people are planning to change Nigeria’s name to United African Republic, What will I do with My Great nation song?!

@acetosyne – Well the name Nigeria is soaked in too much blood mud&dirts anyway. On the bright side it would be nice to go to foreign countries and boldly say I’m from UAR United African Republic without being discriminated or judged. At least they wouldn’t immediately know you are Nigerian
