Veteran Actor, Adebayo Salami ‘Oga Bello’ condemns attacks on #EndSARS protesters

Veteran Nollywood actor, Adebayo Salami has condemned the attack on protesters by men of the Nigeria Police Force.

The protesters who are campaigning with the mantra EndSARS have been tear-gassed and arrested by security operatives since their demonstration started last week.

Condemning the attacks against them, Adebayo Salami took to social media, saying:

“Peaceful protest is a vital characteristics of our democracy. We must uphold such aspect of humanity.

“I strongly condemn the attacks on protesters by men of the Nigeria Police Force.

“The world is watching; we won’t fold our hands while our democracy is threatened.”

Nigerian celebrities congratulate actress, Ini Edo as she flaunts baby girl

Nigerian celebrities have stormed the comment section of actress, Ini Edo on Instagram to drop congratulatory messages after she shared a picture with a little baby girl.

According to Ini Edo, she does not like to share her personal stories publicly but she could not hide the birth of the little girl.

In the caption the 38 year old wrote, she mentioned that the birth of the baby is a testimony because her  baby sister suffered multiple miscarriages and battled different ailments before the baby was born.

She however used the opportunity to express gratitude to God almighty.

In her words;

“Good morning sugar, it’s been a minute.. The past weeks has been one hell of a roller coaster for us and to me personally. I have been through one the toughest challenges of my life and that brings me to the celebration of this Baby’s life .

Am not one to share personal stories but I believe this is worth telling as a testimony to the glory of God and to shame the devices of the devil .After years of miscarriages, one ailment to the other, My baby sister @aidyjoemark delivered this amazing gift from God .Ekemini Abasi meaning At God’s own time, a miracle and a beauty to behold . I just want to glorify the name of the Lord for indeed He never fails.. deut 7.13 .”

Sosoliso crash survivor, Kechi Okwuchi turns 31

America’s Got Talent finalist and airplane crash survivor, Kechi Okwuchi is celebrating her 31st birthday today.

The talented accident victim took to her Instagram to share a lovely video of herself and wrote;

“I’m 31 today 🥳🥳🥳 31 and FOOOINE😏😆
2020 has been very interesting with lots of hills and valleys, but I’m feeling extremely grateful today regardless😌I thank God that I’m alive, I’m healthy and I’m surrounded by loved ones. Given the kind of year it’s been, just having these 3 things makes you one of the lucky ones.🥰🥰🥰”

The Info NG recalls that Kechi Okwuchi was one of the two survivors of the Sosoliso plane crash which happened in 2005.

Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 (SO1145/OSL1145) was a scheduled domestic passenger flight between the Nigerian cities of Abuja (ABV) and Port Harcourt (PHC). At about 14:08 local time (13:08 UTC) on 10 December 2005, Flight 1145 from Abuja crash-landed at Port Harcourt International Airport. The plane, a McDonnell Douglas DC-9-32 with 109 people on board, slammed into the ground and burst into flames. Immediately after the crash, seven survivors were recovered and taken to hospitals, but only two people survived.

DJ Switch runs for her dear life after receiving deadly phone messages

Obianuju Catherine  Udeh, popularly known as DJ Switch is currently on the run for dear life after receiving death threats.

DJ Switch was named heroine of the Lekki Tollgate shooting that occurred on the 20th of Ocober, 2020 after she live streamed the event amid the chaos and sporadic shootings.

DJ Switch who recently spoke with GQ’s columnist Lola Ogunnaike on the Lekki toll gate shooting, threats, the current state of the End SARS Protest, disclosed that she’s currently on the run after receiving a phone message that warned that she would be shot.

She further claimed she was also advised by a friend in the intelligence community to go into hiding.

Recall that Switch was part of the protesters in the Lekki massacre and she recorded the bloody Lekki toll gate shooting on her Instagram Live on the evening of October 20th.

In the interview she said she started recording because:

“I thought I was going to die, so let’s make sure the world sees this so they don’t change the story and tell people that we killed ourselves… I didn’t want us to die in vain.”

The Info NG recalls that she also shared her experience that night on her Instagram page where she claimed, soldiers and police officers shot at her and other peaceful End SARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate. Because of this, she has been on the run, never spending more than a night in the same location.

The protests have currently been put on suspension and Switch is still worrying for her safety, however, there’s a likelihood that she returns when the protests resume.
