We are proud of Nigerian youth, they intelligent and fearless – Ini Edo salutes #ENDSARS protesters

Nollywood actress, Ini Edo has applauded Nigerian youth for their intelligence and brilliance and how meticulously they are dealing with the ENDSARS saga.

According to her, Nigerian youth are not lazy as has been alluded by many of the leaders. Some of the youth have bemoaned the fact the leaders fail to understand the world is changing and the youth cant continue o do the works of the fathers again.

Nollywood actress, Cossy Orjiakor was one of the daring citizens who celebrated her birthday on the grounds people were protesting.

She has given reasons to why she decided to take that decision in a statement. According to her, the people in the country were very sad and angry so the only way she could show solidarity was to celebrate her birthday with them.

In her own words: “I celebrated my birthday on the protest ground at Lekki (Lagos) because the mood of the country was saturated with bitterness and anger. Staying at home and seeing what was going on made me sad too. I just wanted to cheer people up. I know I made lots of guys happy at the protest ground. We had fun at the end of the day.

“Whether one is happy or unhappy, one would still die. We all want a new Nigeria. At the protests, I did not wear clothes that exposed me per se. I just wanted to celebrate my birthday with the protesters. Afterwards, I and some of my friends were hosted by another close friend,

Japheth J. Omojuwa has tasked those who have lost their loved ones to police brutality to ensure that they look beyond holding night vigils to seeking for justice.

In a post on Twitter, Omojuwa advised that a deadline for the prosecution of the cops who have wrongly killed innocent citizens be set so that if the deadline reaches and the prosecution hasn’t being done, reprieve be sought for at the International Criminal Court of Justice.
