Nollywood actor Olu Olowogemo, popularly known as Mr. Portable or Harejan has slammed the leadership of the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, asking who Iya Esabod is to wade into the affairs and matters happening in the Nigerian movie industry.
This is coming after controversial US-based Nigerian Spiritual Doctor, blogger, influencer and Human Right Activist, Esther Aboderin popularly known as Esabod weighed in into the feud that was ongoing in the Yoruba sect of Nigerian movie industry, slamming ace actress Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Iya Awero and accusing her ‘using her body uselessly’ in her youth.
Reacting in a video he shared on Instagram, Mr. Portable slammed the leadership of TAMPAN, wondering who Esabod is to have called for an interview with Latin and he obliged. Registering his disapproval at the apologies the TAMPAN President tendered on behalf of Jide Kosoko over the suspension and punishments meted out to erring thespians, Mr. Portable could not help but imagine what has become of the Yoruba movie body.
According to him, the industry he joined since 1992 (29 years ago) was a respectable one that everyone loved to associate with and even give gift to members for being responsible has now become a waste bin where anyone and anybody just dumps anything anyhow. Asking if and why the TAMPAN body is afraid of speaking the truth, Mr Portable further said the movie body has turned the industry upside down and enough is enough in bastardising the industry.
